Job Title: Daycare Food Service Coordinator

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Daycare Food Service Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and serving nutritious meals and snacks for children in our daycare facility. The Daycare Food Service Coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining compliance with all food safety regulations and ensuring that all meals meet the dietary requirements of the children in our care.

Daycare Food Service Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children in the daycare facility
• Create monthly menus that meet the dietary needs of the children in our care
• Maintain accurate records of all food purchases, inventory, and expenses
• Ensure that all meals meet the standards set by the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas
• Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure proper food handling and safety procedures are followed
• Collaborate with parents and staff to address any dietary restrictions or allergies
• Monitor and maintain compliance with all food safety regulations and guidelines
• Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in nutrition and child nutrition

Daycare Food Service Coordinator Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary or nutrition degree preferred
• Proven experience in food service, preferably in a daycare or childcare setting
• Knowledge of child nutrition guidelines and dietary requirements
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
