Position: Lead Teacher

Location : 1214 New Loudon Road, Cohoes, NY 12047

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team at our newest location, Tiny Town of Latham! The Lead Teacher will be responsible for creating a positive and nurturing learning environment for students, developing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum, and effectively managing a classroom of students.

Lead Teacher Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lessons that promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of students
• Create a safe and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and respected
• Establish and maintain open and effective communication with parents, colleagues, and administrators
• Monitor and assess student progress and communicate with parents about student achievements and areas for growth
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs
• Supervise and support assistant teachers and classroom aides
• Attend staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and other school events as required

Lead Teacher Qualifications:

• Degree in is Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with young children in an educational setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
• Knowledge of age-appropriate teaching methods and best practices
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Passion for working with children and fostering their growth and development
