Compensation is commensurate with experience, ranging from $17-19/hr, plus an additional $1.50 for second shift.
Machine Operators (Assembly, Grinder, Lathe, Mill)
Operate and configure production machinery such as presses, laser markers, ink jet printers, electro etchers, ovens, swagers, bore grinders, drills, mills, and roll threads.
Inspect parts for accuracy of fit, centering, staking, stamping, and proper marking per the print specifications, through visual and physical examination, as well as with the use of gauging tools like micrometers and calipers.
With appropriate experience, may be required to set up the machine according to machine parameters.
Run the first piece parts when necessary and make the necessary alterations to meet the quality characteristics mentioned in the print specs, and complete the requisite paperwork to get the set-up approval.
Load parts as instructed, cycle the equipment and inspect parts at set intervals, making necessary changes.
Oversee the machine operation, including checking fluid levels.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Prior manufacturing and machine operating experience preferred
Experience with gages and micrometers a plus
