Production Supervisor - Afternoon Shift

Overview

We are seeking a Production Supervisor for our afternoon shift at our facility located in Montgomery, IL, 60538. The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising employees in a lean manufacturing environment. They will coach, assist, and coordinate the production efforts necessary to deliver quality products in a safe and efficient manner to meet the production schedule.This position will supervise a team that works 2nd shift hours Monday - Friday from 3:30pm - 12:00am and an occasional Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the manning and day to day manufacturing operations for bearings components.
• Ensure a safe and clean work area and adhere to the company quality and environmental policies.
• Work closely with employees to ensure the policy and procedures are being followed.
• Train, counsel and manage hourly employee performance.
• Foster a positive and respectful environment and resolve conflict as needed.
• Identify, support, and/or manage continuous improvement initiatives to achieve production goals.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a leadership role in amanufacturing environment.

• Strong communication skillsand people oriented.

• Able to handle multiple competing tasks and priorities and perform quality work efficiently with minimal supervision scheduling employees in a production environment.

• Takes a proactive approach in anticipating, identifying, and solving problems and makes necessary changes so problems do not occur in the future.

You should be proficient in:

• Lean Manufacturing Principles
• High School / GED
• Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
• Basic Computer Skills

Salary info:

$33.65 / hr
