Tilray Beer Company, a subsidiary of Tilray Brands, Inc. (Nasdaq | TSX: TLRY), is seeking an energetic, hands-on Director, Accounting & Finance for our growing Craft beer business. Reporting to the Tilray Beer Company CFO, the successful candidate will be a key member of our management team, collaborating closely with cross functional colleagues to continue to grow our $300M revenue Beer Company at a rapid pace, organically and through M&A, and creating a long-term revenue growth plan targeting double digit growth.
Job Summary
We're looking for the Brand Director Sweetwater Brewery; one of the most iconic brands in Atlanta and the entire craft beer category. The Brand Director Sweetwater has a broad range of responsibilities that will assist in delivering specified business targets (volume, transaction, revenue, profit, share) through the development and execution of all brand strategies and plans. More specifically this role will lead brand growth strategy, innovation strategy, brand / business planning, and orchestrate impactful, integrated communication campaigns.
The successful candidate should have the passion and experience in consumer package goods, demonstrating the ability to drive strong team engagement, the ability to champion a brand and motivate both internal and external partners, set strategic vision for a brand and have a track record of executing with excellence to achieve business growth ambitions.
What You'll Do for Us
  • Lead the strategic brand development, initiatives and programs designed to broaden the appeal of our brands to the consumer in order to drive growth across a portfolio of Sweetwater lines (420, IPA, Gummies, etc)
  • Be accountable for recommending the clear, differentiated, brand positioning, and setting the consumer target consistent with the positioning. Drive key brand initiatives that effectively reach and connect with target consumers. Works collaboratively with the Integrated Consumer Experience team, the Operations team, and the Sales organization.
  • Define brand(s) standards and design language and ensure consistency with brand positioning. Act as a brand champion across the business. Approve product packaging designs to be consistent with brand(s) standards. Work collaboratively with Graphic Design team to establish consistent and impactful designs.
  • Work key vendors and internal teams to develop consumer marketing insights and provide a foundation for marketing strategy and channel/commercial management. Ensure strategic brand communications (including advertising, promotion and media plans) via deep consumer understanding, KPI tracking to evaluate results and leverage key learnings.
  • Establish and oversee the marketing budgets to ensure appropriate funding for the brand portfolio
  • Work collaboratively with R&D to lead development of a brand innovation strategy, including role of sustaining and breakthrough innovation, new categories, and new market spaces. Includes innovation in brand communication, business model or strategic partnership. Can persuasively articulate the innovation strategy into a long-term product road.
  • Work collaboratively with the Commercial team for the development of price, package, promotion, channel strategy and plans to achieve our business growth targets and deliver on our category strategies.
Qualification & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field is required (Master's degree is highly preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years of CPG related experience, preferably in beverages and/or alcohol.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate marketing objectives into strategies and plans. Proven success in leading (cross-functional) teams to develop a comprehensive marketing plan that is integrated across multiple consumer touch points, including at POS.
  • The ability to lead the development, communication and stewardship of global brand positioning, architectures, and communication programs.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to use basic financial analysis (e.g., Return on Investment, Value Chain Analysis) related to marketing effectiveness, resource allocations and new business opportunities is needed.
  • Experience successfully launching several new products from concept stage through commercialization and in-market success. Track record of successfully managing a product portfolio.
  • Successful track record of delivering strong business results.
  • Persuasive communication skills and ability to develop materials for strategy and business review meetings.
  • Proven ability to inspire and develop a marketing team and drive strong team engagement.
  • Proven ability to influence internal and external executive level stakeholders.
