As a Southface intern on the marketing and communications team, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in marketing communications, strategic planning, and graphic design. Must be a self-starter and able to receive and give criticism in reference to the work. Responsibilities

• Creates visual and written content to engage our audience through Southfaces channels (social media & ads, blog, email, website etc.)
• Edits, writes, and proofreads short to long-form blogs, one-pagers, social, and email content.
• Captures photos and videos for social media if/when on campus or off-site.
• Develops strategic content for email marketing automation journeys.
• Helps facilitate speaking, tabling, and other Southface events.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or certificate program working towards a degree or certificate in the fields of communications, marketing, advertising, graphic design, or related fields.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, etc.)
• Proficiency in social media channels / email content creation (SEMRush, Pardot, Mailchimp experience a plus)
• Strong writing experience
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, or Canva
• Organized with strong analytical and strategic skills
• Basic understanding of sustainable environments, resource efficiency, resilience and other similar strategies for improving people's lives.
• Ability to work an average of 20-30 hours a week June 1st Mid-August

Reports to: Graphic Design & Media Manager Salary: $20.00ph Location: 2 days in office 3 days remote

Hours of Work
Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with flexible options. Occasional weekend or evening hours.
