JOB TITLE: COMMUNICATION SPECIALIST
Department: Human Resources
Reports to: Vice President, Human Resources
FLSA Status: Exempt
Can work out of Atlanta, GA or where we have current practices (Birmingham AL, Tuscaloosa AL, Lindon UT, Las Cruces NM, Greenville SC).
SUMMARY
Responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communication framework to streamline interactions within the company and ensure effective information dissemination. This role demands a proactive approach to internal communications, a keen understanding of project management, and the ability to craft clear, concise messages across various mediums in a fast paced, M & A focused organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)
· Develop and maintain a robust communication framework to support the practices, including scheduling regular meetings, defining participant lists, and setting communication standards.
· Manage and oversee internal communication channels, ensuring that all announcements, initiatives, programs, and personnel changes are communicated effectively.
· Coordinate with department heads to facilitate weekly practice leader calls, ensuring consistent and streamlined communication to the field.
· Establish and maintain official email distribution groups in Outlook and coordinate the migration and integration of these groups into a cohesive communication structure.
· Create and moderate a dedicated Teams channel and text message group for practice leaders, facilitating tactical information sharing.
· Collaborate closely with the management team, to ensure that company announcements and follow-up messages are synchronized and effectively communicated to the field.
· Provide support for monthly presentations to doctors and teams, ensuring clarity in conveying updates, timelines, and project statuses.
· Utilize SharePoint for document management and leverage Teams channels for centralized communication, fostering a collaborative and informed work environment.
· Maintain bulletin boards in break rooms, ensuring they display relevant and up-to-date information such as team goals, progress, and customer satisfaction scores.
· Employ a multi-faceted communication approach, recognizing the varied effectiveness of different mediums—prioritizing face-to-face and virtual calls, supplemented by email, text, and phone communications.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
· University degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
· At least 2 years of professional experience in a communication or related role, with a preference for experience in healthcare.
· Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and navigate complex organizational structures.
· Experience in developing and implementing communication strategies and frameworks.
