What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including school partners and practitioners, to evaluate the needs of students on your caseload, develop an intervention plan, and respond or revise the plan based on outcomes.
- Meet students where they are while maintaining high expectations. You’ll identify, in partnership with parents, the skills students need and want in order to be successful in school and beyond.
- Pull back the curtain on your work. Provide traditional educators with a report and actionable steps they can take to support the work you are doing with students. Design and deliver professional development in order to increase the efficacy of the work you are doing.
- Draft and implement 504 and/or IEP goals for students on your caseload. Lead relevant parent meetings, annual IEP meetings, et. al.
Who You Are:
- You fundamentally believe that all students can, want to, and will achieve their goals as a result of the highest level of care.
- You have experience in and passion for working in a public school setting with a diverse cohort of students, from predominantly underrecognized communities.
- You believe in the power of science, data, and human connection in equal measure.
- You set a high bar. The goals for your students (and yourself) are elevated because you know that when you set a high bar, students will meet it.
- You’re a natural collaborator and partner-in-good. You see the greatness in others, always assume the best, and work with partners to bring out their best, particularly in moments of challenge.
- As a member of a thoughtfully growing team, you are hungry to exercise your keen sense of flexibility and customer service, no matter what the day throws your way.
- You’re responsive. You offer what’s needed: critical feedback, a high five, or a quick email.
- You’re kind. You speak, act, and serve in ways that show empathy and care.
