Job Description:

SUMMARY

Responsible for administering and coordinating policies, programs and procedures covering the day-to-day human resources functions spanning the full Team Member lifecycle.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Interacts effectively and positively with all Team Members, supporting them in every step of their employment.
• Communicates with Supervisors and Managers to encourage building positive workplace culture through best practices and adherence to Policies and Procedures.
• Supports Recruiter in reviewing Team Member transfers and new applicants’ qualifications, referring them to hiring Supervisors to conduct interviews.
• May assist with hiring event planning and attend events as needed.
• Schedules and facilitates pre-employment and onboarding process for new Three Rivers Casino Team Members.
• Coordinates performance evaluation process, guiding Supervisors as needed to ensure timely delivery, constructive feedback and adherence to wage increase procedures.
• Works with HR Manager to consult with Supervisors on voluntary terminations to ensure compliance.
• Compiles separation paperwork and final check, ensuring timely delivery to separating team member.
• Oversees records maintenance and applies privacy procedures for protecting team member transactions and reporting of personal data.
• Administers and executes monthly random drug & alcohol tests according to procedures.
• Continuously monitors procedures for compliance to tribal and federal regulatory standards.
• Actively fosters positive relationships with Team Leads, Supervisors and Managers of all casino entities.
• Assesses the morale of Team Members while interacting and reports concerns and issues to Human Resources Manager.
• Assists with witnessing and note taking during confidential investigation interviews as needed.
• Provides knowledgeable interpretation of employment related policies for Team Leaders and Team Members.
• Fosters a sense of teamwork and collaboration within the department by demonstrating respect for others’ time, judgment and capabilities.
• May be required to travel to Coos Bay Casino location when needed.
• Other duties as directed by management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, Team Members may be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke, including regular exposure for those working on the casino floor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can occasionally reach a high level for short periods of time. This position is determined to have a potential for possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
• Must be able to carry, reach, twist, bend and squat frequently.
• Must regularly lift and /or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance as needed.
