Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as an Assistant Designer. As an Assistant Designer, you will work closely with our design team to support the creation and development of innovative fashion designs. Your role will involve assisting with various design tasks, conducting research, creating technical flats, organizing trims and fabrics, and contributing to the overall design process.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the design team in brainstorming and conceptualizing new fashion designs.

- Conduct trend forecasting research to identify emerging fashion trends.

- Assist in creating technical flats and tech packs for production purposes.

- Source fabrics, trims, and other materials necessary for the design process.

- Assist in adjusting patterns and sewing samples as needed.

- Attend important meetings alongside designers to provide support and input.

- Help prepare for important meetings by organizing materials and presentations.

- Input design ideas into various projects under the guidance of senior designers.

- Support designers throughout the day-to-day operations of the design department.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Fashion Design or related field (anticipated graduation date is acceptable).

- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator or similar software used for fashion designing.

- Strong attention to detail with a keen eye for color combinations, fabric textures, and garment construction techniques.

- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively within deadlines.

- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members across different departments.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, the following qualifications would be considered a plus:

1. Previous internship or work experience in a similar role within the fashion industry

2. Knowledge of garment production processes

3. Familiarity with retail sales aspects
