Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Crane Operator in Chattanooga, TN. The Crane Operator will be responsible for operating cranes and other heavy-lifting equipment. The role involves performing inspections, ensuring safe lifting operations, and maintaining equipment. The Crane Operator will collaborate with the team to support ongoing projects and ensure efficient material handling.
Qualifications
- Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment skills
- Experience with heavy equipment and cranes
- Inspection skills for ensuring equipment safety
- Ability to operate and control cranes effectively
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures
- Experience in material handling
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Crane Operator Certification) are a plus
- NCCCO Certified (this is highly preferred, but we would be willing to put someone with 5-10 years of experience who lacks the certifications through training and testing)
- Class A CDL (This is a must)
- Certified in Rigging (This is preferred, but comprehensive rigging knowledge is required)
- Steel erection experience is preferred
- Great Attitude
- On-time to work (early)
Other Qualifications
- Competent welder
- Willing and capable of manual labor (whatever our team needs)
- Mechanic knowledge (it would be great if they could be our mechanic when not operating)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
