Maksteel powered by UPG is looking to fill a Crane Operator in the Chattanooga, TN location. There are opportunities for wage growth and career advancement. Any relevant steel experience is preferred, but not required. We are looking for a detail-oriented candidate that is eager to learn and grow in this fast-paced environment. Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Loading coil stock to machines for processing.
• Loading and unloading of truck traffic on a timely basis.
• Safe handling and storage of steel stock.
• Maintain clean area of scrap tails from slitters.
• Retrieving stock to be processed

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• The ability to read and use a tape measure.
• Have good depth perception.
• One year of previous experience with overhead crane operations, preferred.
• Knowledge of steel types, preferred.
• One year of previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment, preferred.
