Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end closing process including preparing/posting journal entries and preparing/reviewing account reconciliations.
• Review work orders to ensure that costs are properly classified as capital or expense and are recorded in the proper account, cost-center and period.
• Prepare, examine and analyze accounting records, financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting procedural standards in a timely manner.
• Review accuracy of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory balances in the accounting system.
• Review CIP and other fixed asset transactions for compliance with Company policy.
• Perform capital expenditure analysis.
• Perform review of accounts payable transactions to ensure that amounts are coded correctly, reflected in the proper accounting period, and properly classified as intercompany or related party as necessary.
• Analyze cost fluctuations compared to prior periods and forecasts.
• Monitor and balance intercompany accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests.
• Work on special projects and perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related
• Experience with a publicly-traded company preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ experience,1 to 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
• CPA/CMA preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel.
• Ability to travel occasionally as required.
