The Residence Director (RD) cultivates robust communities of learners through residential and co-curricular programming. The RD develops a socially and academically engaging environment within college residences, ensures a healthy and safe community, leads Community Assistants, and advises hall programming councils. The RD has primary responsibility safe operations of designated College residences and serves as a professional staff on call for residence life during designate duty rotations. The RD functions as a member of the Student Engagement and Success team, represents the division in the larger campus community, and collaborates with other campus units to meet institutional goals. The RD operates outside of traditional office hours to support and staff relevant activities. Evenings and weekends are required. On-campus residence is provided and must be utilized during the eleven-month period during which students are in residences. This position is under 11-month contract. The position will promote the College’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) statement where applicable.
Bachelor’s degree is required. Preferred experience with program evaluation. Preferred experience working with recreation, intramurals, or campus activities. Preferred experience working with first generation college students. Must be willing to undergo background check.
