THIRD EAR is Hiring an Assistant Media Buyer Near Austin, TX

Job Overview
The Assistant Media Buyer works closely with the Media Buyer in assisting in the development and execution of digital media buys across campaigns, ensuring proper campaign set up and that ads run correctly, and weekly pacing is on track. This person may work across digital channels such as programmatic display, video, CTV/OTT, and social assisting with buy set up and stewardship. This person is responsible for maintaining cross-channel media billing requirements, reconciling monthly discreps, and processing cross-channel invoices. They also work closely with the Finance Department and provide updates on AR reports, job status and invoice payment as needed.

Job Responsibilities
The job responsibilities of the Assistant Media Buyer fall within three key areas, Campaign Stewardship, Billing & Reconciliation and Relationship Building
Campaign Stewardship: Serve as a key supporter in the set-up, execution, and maintenance of digital media buys which may include but is not limited to programmatic display and video, social, CTV/OTT, direct digital buys, etc. Examples of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Works hand in hand with the Media Buyer to assist and assure campaign set up and implementation is done accurately and timely
• Requests and compiles partner screenshots for digital campaign launches with meticulous accuracy
• Optimizes effectiveness of digital media campaigns with support from the Media Buyer by tracking all digital partner data including pacing, brand safety and KPI data
• Responsible for building campaigns in buying platforms and generating and managing IOs for digital buys
• Working “hands on keys” in various self-serve platforms such as programmatic DSPs or social platforms (Meta, TikTok, Snap, etc.)
• Responsible for managing rate cards with vendors, sending insertion orders to publications, sending out EOGs to pubs monthly and managing print audits for vendor compliance on an on-going basis
Billing & Reconciliation: Collaborates cross-department and with 3rd party vendors to ensure vendor invoice compliance, discrep management, timely reconciliation, and payment. Examples of responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Responsible for entering vendor invoices, auditing and resolving billing discrepancies within 30-60 days of the invoice date
• Reviews vendor statements for possible past due amount/credits; Keeps meticulous filing system on all open and closed invoices, jobs, and estimates while maintaining confidentiality of financial data and related records
• Works directly with the Finance department to provide the status of jobs, AR update and invoice payment status to vendors
Relationship Building: Ensuring collaboration, diplomacy, and trust across 3E media team, 3E agency team, key media partners, day-to-day clients, and day-to-day partnering agency teams. Examples of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Work hand in hand with the Media Buyer and Assistant Media Buyer counterparts to ensure seamless integration across teams, guaranteeing continuity between campaign planning and execution
• Key point of contact for the media vendor community, maintaining relationships with vendors as a “face of THIRD EAR Media,” serving as a key day-to-day partner and contact to key vendors and agency members

What Success Look Like
The Assistant Media Buyer is successful when they are:
• Supporting and contributing to the success of media plan execution, buy maintenance and billing reconciliation
• Mastering the basic fundamentals of media buying across various digital channels
• Proven success with seamless and smooth management of all day-to-day campaign and partner needs

Minimum qualifications to be in this role are:
• 1 years of work experience in a relevant field (advertising/media)
• Comfortable with data, analytics, and measurement
• Ability to clearly communicate both orally and written
• Proficiency in computer skills used to manage day-to day workflow (e.g., Microsoft Suite)
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals

Preferred qualifications
• 1 years of work experience in media
• Experience with Media Ocean, Strata, DSPs, Social Platforms, or Media Tools
