We’re looking for bussers to join the opening team at Theodora! We will start training all Front of House employees between the 19th and 23rd of January. Full available is required between 1/19 and 1/31.

Chef/owner Tomer Blechman of the popular Mediterranean restaurant Miss Ada in Fort Greene and its sister concept Nili in Carroll Gardens opens his newest concept, Theodora with co-owner Gerardo Estevez. Theodora is a progression of Miss Ada, taking the community Tomer built. At the heart of Theodora is an inviting open kitchen focusing on fresh and dry-aged seafood and open-fire cooking. 

The busser will be responsible for supporting the servers during service. They will bus and reset tables, polish silverware, restock stations, and assist with clearing tables and running food. 

This could be a great opportunity for an experienced host looking for a flexible host and bussing role, or a newer server looking to gain restaurant experience. There are also opportunities for a cross trained role of bussing and barbacking for the right candidate with experience in both roles.

Requirements:

• Some restaurant experience is strongly preferred
• Full and flexible availability for January and February
• Interest in learning and growing within a restaurant
• Spanish language ability is a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Be able to stand for extended periods of time [over 7 hours]
• Be able to lift and carry 50 pounds steadily 
• Be comfortable bending, sitting, walking extended distances including up and down flights of stairs, and moving. 
• Be comfortable walking up and down stairs frequently, including while carrying large containers
