We are hiring a Principal Systems Engineer (Life Cycle Support) to work in Columbia, MD. Position location is subject to change based on central MD client's needs.

Required: TS/SCI with a Polygraph

As a Life Cycle Support Systems Engineer, you will support, and work closely with, the customer Technical Director, providing dedicated technical support in performing a wide variety of tasks requiring a strong systems engineering background and experience as well as a foundation in architecture and senior staff level communications

Responsibilities include:

• Providing systems engineering life cycle support in conjunction with customer partners and orchestrate across various aspects of the systems life cycle to improve decision-making and deliver capabilities.
• Rapidly assess the need for systems engineering for acquisition and organizational initiatives and recommend and execute the required efforts for success.
• Provide technical recommendations and assistance to the customer for all phases of the SE life cycle, program, or organization supported by the customer.
• Task activities will include Life Cycle Management, Architecture modeling, Requirements creation and management, Technical management, Acquisition Support, Integration Management, Test and Evaluation support, Enterprise Architecture Support, Transition and Decommission support.

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline and at least 20 years of systems engineering experience. A Master’s or PhD Degree may be substituted for two years of experience. Note: a High School Diploma or GED plus 24 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:

• A broad experience in systems engineering disciplines, with a focus on architectures, system of system integration and architecture, mission use case and thread analysis and engineering.
• Experience in developing/documenting architectures using standard architectural frameworks (e.g., UAF, DoDAF) and should have familiarity with the UAF.
• Desired to be proficient with the Cameo architecture tool and its usage.
• A demonstrated ability to work constructively and successfully with diverse stakeholders to resolve mission and technical issues.
