Job Description:

Technical Project Manager

Duration: 12 months

Location: Albany, NY.

Hybrid – 1 to 2 days Onsite – Per Week.

Key Responsibilities

Tracking, estimating, and communicating project timelines.

Anticipating and communicating issues/risks – and identifying the system impacts of each.

Developing and maintaining key technical documentation with the project Business analyst, as needed.

Delegating and overseeing tasks.

Eliciting and documenting business requirements with the project business analyst, as needed.

Conducting oversight of testing and quality assurance activities.

Driving system design and client/vendor management.

About You:

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with system development life cycle (SDLC) activities to manage, plan, design, implement, test, and deliver information systems and strategies.
• Experience as a manager of technical projects.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to develop relationships with stakeholders and understand their needs through excellent listening and effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to prioritize and understand the needs of stakeholders and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to manage system integration vendors who deliver software and services. Ensure the services and outcomes delivered meet the needs of our clients and Service Level Agreements.
• Experience with cloud technologies, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.

Preferred/Desired Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a business, technical, scientific, or related discipline.
• Experience with health information technology (HIT) or health information exchange (HIE).
• Experience with vendor management and driving projects with many stakeholders.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is a plus.

Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree and five years of related experience in technical project management. An equivalent combination of advanced education, training, and experience will be considered.
