Healthcare Data Specialist–Project Manager Item 1065This position is a hybrid to Albany, NY. Must be local for consideration. The Project Manager will work within the Division of Data Services & Analytics (DDSA) Data Categorization team to coordinate and facilitate the data categorization practice. The ideal candidate will leverage project management expertise and industry-standard portfolio management strategies, schedule and host regularly recurring meetings, produce and distribute meeting agendas and minutes, and manage the implementation of the data categorization practice within the NYS Department of Health’s Medicaid program. Comprehensive on-the-job training and peer/supervisory support will be provided. The candidate should be able to take on new tasks and subject areas, willing to work in a team environment, and able to adjust to multiple priorities successfully. Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required; PMP or CAPM certification preferredAt least three years of experience in project management or operational management rolesExperience coordinating meetings and producing meeting agendas and minutesExperience assigning and tracking action items within the scope of projectsExceptional verbal, written, and time-management skillsAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamStrong organization, documentation, and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word. Experience with SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, and Visio preferred. -2 years of experience managing/administering/reporting data
