In our Middle School, you’ll teach and learn alongside ninety other faculty who embody the same intellectual curiosity, wholesome intensity, and creative spirit as our students. Supervisor: Head of the Middle School
Position Status: This position is a salaried, exempt, full-time, regular, 10-month position.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree or higher in related fields. Professional or practical experience in a scientific field preferred
Two years of middle school teaching experience and a background in integrated studies preferred
Proficiency with instructional technology

Opportunities & Responsibilities:
Teach a variety of STEAM-related courses
Support STEAM-related courses, units, clubs, and activities
Contribute to the STEAM Professional Learning Community (PLC)
Assist in the The Roberto C. Goizueta Innovation Lab in the Middle School
Serve as an advisor to homeroom students
Fulfill supervisory duties as assigned
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle and feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl; talk and hear; and engage in moderately strenuous physical activity both indoors and out. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to become CPR and First Aid Certified.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and may frequently walk on slippery or uneven surfaces. The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
TRAVEL
Travel is primarily local during the regular business day. Overnight and out-of-area travel may also be required.
