JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an approachable and enthusiastic F&B Bartender to provide excellent guest drinking experiences. Providing consistent white-glove service and exceeding customer expectations is the Westin way. The selected candidate for this role will be proactive, innovative, organized, and uphold the brand's standards.

DESIRED COMPETENCIES, WORK SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE

• Prepare alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for guests and bar patrons.
• Create classic and innovative drinks.
• Assess customer needs and drink preferences.
• Make drink recommendations.
• Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks.
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean.
• Interact with guests and bar patrons (accept orders, serve drinks, etc.).
• Knowledge of a second language is a plus.
• Ability to mix and serve alcoholic beverages based on customer requests.
• Excellent communication skills with a diverse group of customers.
• Exceptional time management skills and excellent memory.

• Willingness to accept feedback from customers and modify drink ingredients to meet taste preferences.
• Ability to maintain efficiency in fast-paced environment.

• Accept payment from customers.
• Balance cash receipts to record sales.
• Ensure and maintain cleanliness of glasses or bar utensils.
• Work directly with Barbacks.
• Demonstrate knowledge of standard menu items and ingredients.
• Market, sell, and serve all menu items.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain regular attendance, is consistently on time.
• Observe duties, break and meal periods in compliance with standards.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming in compliance with the company dress code.
• Comply with all safety and sanitation ordinances.
• Comply with all state liquor laws and regulations.
• Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
• Complete verification of the identification and age of all customers.
• Comfortable working primarily in pool bar and other outlets.
• Available to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends.
