Texas Oncology is looking for a Front Office Supervisor to join our team! This position will support the Central Texas Regiona Business Office at 8501 Mopac in Austin, TX.

What does the Front Office Supervisor do?
Responsible for the coordination, operation, and training of patient-facing revenue cycle functions at multiple locations throughout the assigned region(s). Acts as liaison with physicians, patients and other office staff. Responsible for assisting in the development of and administration of office policies and procedures. Supervises and coordinates front office staff activities and responsibilities. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Cordinates with sites to provide onsite training with staff.
  • Develops and maintains a professional relationship with Revenue Cycle Manager, Supervisors and Practice Director/Administrator's.
  • Maintains knowledge of current health care and billing trends and practices.
  • Will work closely with the statewide training department to ensure up to date on all organizational policy/workflow.
  • Responsible for monitoring trainee processing, documentation in accordance with departmental guidelines, and providing individual and team feedback. Provide assistance to trainees to help them achieve individual and unit performance standards.
  • Consults with management team regarding performance issues. Assists in implementing plans for individual and team development. Gathers data and prepares training reports as requested on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
  • Plans and manages the development and review of test cases, test scripts and other testing variables. Manages defect tracking and adhere to testing methodology.
Qualifications:
Peferred Qualifications
  • Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple projects or initiatives simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of medical insurance billing and collections with CPT, ICD10, and HCPCS coding and medical terminology, as well as an overall understanding of managed care products (HMO, PPO, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent.
  • Experience with various business and health record systems (Aria, IDX, iKnowMed, Mosaiq, UroChart).

It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for prolonged periods of time.

Work is performed in an office environment and involves frequent interaction with practice management, physicians, and payors. Work will require regular travel by automobile within the service area, approximately 75% of time.
