The United Methodist Children's Home is Hiring a Community Support Specialist Near Jackson, MS

Description

Plan, direct, or coordinate the activities of clients served using campus and community outreach programs. Coordinates with clinical services and program director(s) on policies regarding participant involvement, program requirements, and benefits. The Community Support Specialist functions as a case manager for our clients with serious emotional disturbances and mental disorders. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting, developing and/or applying the treatment/service plan and facilitating compliance. Serves as a member of appropriate interdisciplinary treatment team. 

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or a related field required; previous experience in a mental health setting preferred. Provisional Certification thorough the Department of Mental Health (PCCSS) must be acquired and presented to human resources within 30 days of hire.
