The GSA Director GRLs job will vary from day to day due to the high responsibility of the role. This individual will spend the majority of their day performing strategic and tactical planning, sales and sales management responsibilities activities. This will involve both office related work and field travel and coaching with their team. This individual will routinely be managing team performance, hiring, onboarding and developing team members. This individual will be fluent with computer and sales analytics systems (Power BI, SFDC, SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, Concur, ect.). Lastly, this individual will need to know and assess changes in the Clinical and LifeScience industry and stay current with the market and competition.

How You'll Make An Impact:

  • Ensuring customer satisfaction and support levels remain high, maintaining and growing Bio-Rad revenue within the Global Reference Lab market. This will require that this individual develop an internal network within Bio-Rad with all functional areas within the order-to-invoice-process and problem resolution (i.e. Customer Service, Supply, Accounts Payable, Finance, Support, Marketing, etc.)as well as future product development, R&D, RA/QA and Bio-Rad's top exectutives.
  • Identifying, hiring, coaching and developing talent within the GSA Global Reference Lab team
  • Participate in the global strategic and tactical plans working collaboratively with Marketing, R&D, Bio-Rad's executive team and other stakeholders. Daily activity should support the short and long-term strategy. Tactical plans should include plans developed with GSA field marketing for brand awareness within the GRL market to include trade shows, campaigns, customer events such as webinars, lead generation and follow up, etc.
  • Management of the sales funnel to keep it in good health for short and long-term growth of GSA revenue that is aligned with the strategic plan in revenue, margin and with a focus on portfolio mix.
  • Ensure sales negotiations and deal analysis are performed and are put through the SOP approval process. Deal analysis should meet company guidelines to protect revenue growth and maintain acceptable margins.

What You Bring:

  • Experience and knowledge of the Clinical and Life Science Global Reference Lab market, an established network within our customer base
  • Extensive experience leading senior sales team(s) selling both capital, reagents and consumables
  • Strategic thinker that approaches planning and problem solving with a strategic lense
  • Collaborative leadership approach and ability to work well in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to build a healthy funnel, funnel management, and forecast accurately

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $193,900 to $266,700 at the time of posting. This range is inclusive of all geographic locations within the United States*. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.

*Minimum reflects our lowest paying locations, and the top end reflects our highest paying locations. The range in your geographic location will vary but will be within the indicated range.
