The Tatitlek Corporation is Hiring a Facilities and Business Operations Specialist Near Arlington, VA

Overview

As a Facilities & Business Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation, and security of our facilities in Arlington, VA, serving our Department of Defense customer. You may also be required occasionally to support contract administration and business operations activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management and Government contract operations, a proven ability to coordinate and navigate requirements in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to ensuring a safe and efficient work environment for our employees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Operations:

  • Assign and maintain the assignment of key fobs and parking spaces.
  • Track and maintain equipment and furniture.
  • Provide basic IT support in the office and work with our remote IT team to implement changes not requiring specialization.
  • Support the development and implementation of an MOU with mission partners in the co-working space to cultivate, enhance, and safeguard our collaborative community's engagement rules.
  • Provide general contract administration support (as needed)

Facilities maintenance:

  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure the proper functioning of all systems and equipment.
  • Supervise maintenance contractors to ensure repairs and upgrades are completed promptly and cost-effectively.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address maintenance issues.
  • Be the primary point of contact with the building's facilities management team, and our co-working space community.

Safety & Security:

  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors to negotiate contracts and service agreements.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Optimize the layout and utilization of office space.
  • Coordinate office moves and renovations as needed.
  • Implement and enforce security protocols to safeguard the facility, assets, and employees.
  • Coordinate with security personnel to maintain a secure environment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and conduct safety training for employees (if required).
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Coordinate emergency drills and ensure employees are prepared for emergencies (if required).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, business or contract administration, facilities management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Strong sense of service and orientation to the Government customer.
  • Proven experience in business operations and facilities management, including supervision of staff and contractors.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
  • DOD Secret clearance preferred but not required to apply.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:

As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
