The Station Public House in Auburn, CA is looking for chef assistants to join our team. We are located on 750 Lincoln Way. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and engaged.

Responsibilities

*Aid team in preparing dishes to recipe *Ensure health and sanitation standards are in compliance with regulations *Properly store and dispose of food *Assist in training new kitchen staff team members

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Chop vegetables, prepare sauces and other food preparation.
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food

Qualifications

*Proven past experience in this position ( 1 -2 year preferred in similar position ) *Ability to communicate and listen effectively *Knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils *Food handling certifications that apply

• Cooking experience or Back of the House experience (1-2 years preferred )
• Able to meet all scheduling commitments including nights and weekends
• Able to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs
• Strong attention to detail

*Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. *Ability to work in a fast pace kitchen.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Mondays. Compensation is $16.00 - $20.00/hour.
