Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team part time. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and supporting our physician in an out patient/office setting. If you have a strong background in medical terminology, patient care, and are familiar with orthopedics, we encourage you to apply.
This position will require you to assist our physician with procedures in our office on Tuesday's and Friday's. This position will be trained on site.
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs, drawing blood, and administering medications under the supervision of healthcare professionals
- Assist with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documenting patient information, test results, and treatment plans
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering inquiries, scheduling appointments, and addressing concerns
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient clinic operations
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to maintain a clean and safe environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency in taking vital signs accurately
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate care to patients of all ages
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation processes
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
