Quality Control/Quality Assurance

Our company located in Chicago has multiple plant operations producing Fresh food products. We need to add a Leadership focused Quality Control/Quality Assurance Manger to our staff who will build on the excellent quality standards we already have which has made our products a leader.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Assessing our current standards for compliance with established company standards
• Working with the quality staff to enhance their skills ensuring the competency of their practices and to develop them for increased responsibilities
• To ensure we are applying both FDA and USDA standards
• To establish standard practices for quality testing of our in process and finished goods products
• To bring the Quality awareness to our production organization with training and education
• To ensure compliance with proper and complete documentation of the manufacturing production and testing process
• To verify through report and inspection processes that compliance with quality requirements are in place
• To perform internal audits on a regular basis
• To ensure vendor and supplier quality standards and compliance
• To develop training and education for hourly employees in quality requirements
• To interface with external Quality inspectors from both our customers and industry audit organizations
• The development of quality process for equipment function and housekeeping standards
• To develop recommendations for equipment, process or educational needs to enhance the role of Quality within the organization
• To establish reporting through data process methodology where information on the Quality process and results can be captured.
• To coordinate with upper management on Quality results, waste and Quality improvement needs.
• Will evaluate practices in GMP, SOP, HACCP, Food Safety and Sanitation and equipment standards to ensure compliance with required standards

In this role we will expect you to provide the leadership, education and involvement with all levels in our organization and or with the customers we serve and to communicate with all stakeholder both internally as well as externally.

Education:

• Bachelor's (Required)

Experience:

• Food Quality: 10 years (Required)
• FDA and USDA knowledge: 10 years (Required)
• Use of technology for data collection: 10 years (Required)
• Management/Employee Quality education: 10 years (Required)
• Jnoweldge inm Food Safety Standards: 1 year (Required)
• Collaboration methodology with all Stakeholders: 10 years (Required)
• Both Internal and external audit management: 10 years (Required)

Ability to Relocate:
