What you'll do

As the Fleet Inside Sales Specialist for Royal Truck Body (A Shyft Group Brand) based at our manufacturing facility in Carson, CA, you will enjoy providing administrative support to the outside sales team and serving our customers by providing product and service information.

Your main focus will be to present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients via phone and email inquiries and occasional in-person visits.

You will also play an instrumental role in resolving product and service problems and assisting with sales projects.

You will also :

  • Follow up on leads to ensure smooth lead developments
  • Assist branches with sales orders, pricing, quotes, and product availability
  • Communicate lead times and statuses of pending orders to branches
  • Cultivate and maintain positive and productive client relationships
  • Resolve client concerns and escalate them to management staff
  • Ensure excellent customer service and the smooth resolution of issues
  • Partner with Production daily to verify product availability and meet customer needs
  • Make suggestions to Production regarding ETA's to ensure promised delivery dates are met
  • Generate and send quotes to end users and dealer partners
  • Assist outside sales team with quote requests
  • Process sales orders for products and services, and credit card payments
  • Review orders for pricing discrepancies and compliant order writing
  • Keep up with ongoing order status by maintaining communication with Production
  • Collaborate with dealers to stay on top of quotes for potential orders
  • Answer questions and concerns fielded by company dealer partners
  • Build a daily "roundup report and deliver to management that reflects sales and quotes generated
  • Establish a plan to progress toward targeted sales goals
  • Attend in-house production meetings and make recommendations and offer creative ideas
  • Provide a weekly report to customers

What you need to be successful

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • AISM or CISP (Preferred)
  • Three or more (3 ) years of inside sales experience
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Familiarity with the sales administration process
  • A reputation for having solid interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform simple math
  • A problem-solving attitude
  • Exceptional customer service skills
