What you’ll do:


SUMMARY

The Receiver position is responsible for various types of receiving and warehousing activities in accordance with established procedures. The person receives, distributes, and stocks incoming materials and is frequently required to lift and move a minimum of 40 pounds without assistance, climb a ladder to a height of at least 20 feet, acquire equipment license and wear appropriate safety equipment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Purposefully and consistently conduct themselves within the structure of the guiding principles and mission statement of the company.
  • Maintain valid forklift/stand-up license- including completion of daily fork truck maintenance log and proper maintenance of equipment.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and bar code scanners systems.
  • Inspects all incoming freight for damage; follows-up with purchasing to resolve any damaged freight issues.
  • Processes all in- and outbound shipments including but not limited to sorting, logging, delivering, packing, and distribution.
  • Processes all receiving transactions and paper for inbound shipments, validating condition, verifying count, and notifying appropriate associates regarding discrepancies and/or problem issues.
  • Efficiently put away material in warehouse location utilizing adequate space, consolidation, and inventory accuracy.
  • Pick parts based on requirements from order requests.
  • Package parts for delivery utilizing best packaging practices.
  • Pick parts in at requested time of arrival.
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory record accuracy through accurate stock transfers and cycle
counts.
  • Continually monitor efficient use of storage space, consolidating when practical.
  • Audits each outbound/quality shipment prior to packing to ensure that goods match paperwork
  • Packs and labels product based on established standards.
  • Prepares shipping and receiving documentation; maintains orderly files for all documentation.
  • Utilize good housekeeping practices.
  • Assists in maintaining safety standards in all areas of responsibility
  • Performs required administrative tasks; prepares all required reports and communication.
  • Willingness to work OT on short notice.
  • Preparation and participation in physical inventory.
  • Knowledge and application of damage parts procedure.


What you need to be successful:


QUALIFICATIONS

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years related experience or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with warehouse and distribution practices.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to a high standard of excellence.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with outlook, word and excel.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
