The school places a strong focus on maintaining consistent relationships with role models, offering daily academic challenges and support, and providing extensive programs in athletics, visual and performing arts, and service. Additionally, the commitment to students extends beyond graduation through the College Transition & Success program, supporting SEED graduates throughout their college careers.

Position Overview:

At the SEED School of Miami, the Director of Marketing and Communications plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of our educational community. This strategic leader champions our brand, spearheads innovative marketing initiatives, and drives communication strategies that resonate with diverse audiences. As the head of our marketing department, this role requires a blend of creativity, analytical prowess, and exemplary leadership to enhance our school’s visibility, attract and retain students, and build strong community relations. The Director of Marketing and Communications collaborates closely with the Head of School and other key stakeholders to ensure our marketing efforts align with and support the school’s strategic objectives. Essential Functions:

Strategic Marketing Leadership:

  • Craft and implement a strategic marketing plan that aligns with the school’s overall goals and mission.
  • Analyze market trends and adapt strategies to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Lead cross-departmental collaboration to integrate marketing strategies with educational and operational objectives.

Brand Management:

  • Ensure brand consistency in tone, messaging, and visuals across all communication channels.
  • Develop brand management standards and systems to be followed school-wide.
  • Monitor the impact of brand strategies and make adjustments as needed.

Communication:

  • Develop comprehensive communication strategies that address the needs of diverse school stakeholders including students, parents, staff, and the wider community.
  • Oversee the creation of engaging content for various platforms including newsletters, press releases, and annual reports.
  • Enhance internal communication processes to ensure clear, effective dissemination of information within the school.

Crisis Communication:

  • Prepare crisis communication plans and conduct regular training sessions with key staff to ensure preparedness.
  • Act swiftly to manage communications during a crisis, minimizing negative impact on the school’s reputation.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of crisis response strategies and make necessary improvements.

Social Media Management:

  • Develop and execute innovative social media strategies to increase follower engagement and strengthen community interaction.
  • Regularly evaluate the performance of social media campaigns and adjust tactics based on analytical data.
  • Engage with online communities and respond to social media interactions promptly and professionally.

Public Relations:

  • Cultivate relationships with media outlets to boost the school’s public profile and strategic communication efforts.
  • Plan and manage public relations events such as press conferences and public interviews.
  • Develop partnerships with other educational organizations and community leaders to enhance outreach efforts.

Event Marketing:

  • Coordinate marketing campaigns for school events, ensuring they align with broader promotional goals.
  • Utilize a variety of channels, including digital platforms, to maximize event exposure and participation.
  • Gather and analyze event feedback to enhance future marketing strategies.

Analytics:

  • Implement tools and systems to gather data on marketing campaign results and market dynamics.
  • Provide regular reports on marketing performance to senior management, offering insights and recommendations for future actions.
  • Utilize data to refine marketing strategies and improve return on investment.

Required Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • ·Master’s Degree preferred, particularly in Marketing, Business Administration, or Educational Leadership.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a marketing leadership role, ideally within an educational or non-profit setting.
  • Proven track record of success in strategic marketing and brand management.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering effective collaboration with various internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • ·Familiarity with the latest marketing technologies and tools.
  • ·Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen ability to use data to inform decisions and improve marketing outcomes.
