The Salvation Army (TSA) Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is a no-fee program to assist men & women in their journey to complete our rehabilitation program. ABOUT THE POSITION 
Become part of our dedicated ARC Command Team at The Salvation Army! We are looking for a full time Project Coordinator to join us to help support Adult Rehabilitation Program, in our headquarters office located in Carson CA. Under the direction of the General Secretary, the Project Coordinator will be tasked with different types of projects related to the ARC Command. These are subject to property purchase or lease, property remodels, IT, vehicles, and/or any other area deemed appropriate.

As our enthusiastic and hardworking PROJECT COORDINATOR you will be responsible for (but not limited to):
  1. Coordinate project schedules, resources, equipment, and information as assigned.
  2. Coordinate with Project owners to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
  3. Prepare action plans, establish resources, set timeframes, and budgets for projects.
  4. Ensure all pertinent parties are brought into the project.
  5. Inform persons/departments of other organization departments as needed. (i.e., Territorial IT)
  6. Organize meetings and appointments as required for each project.
  7. Assign and track progress of individual tasks/assignments, providing follow-up as needed to keep the project on schedule.
  8. Analyze risks and opportunities, informing project owner of findings. Provide options when possible.
  9. Monitor progress of projects and communicate with project owners each step of the way, especially when there are delays.
  10. Maintain comprehensive documentation on project plans and reports. The Salvation Army currently uses the Microsoft suite of products, meaning Microsoft Planner would be the primary tool used for coordinating projects.
  11. Meet with the General Secretary weekly, when possible, to provide status updates on all projects.
  12. Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties for this position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administrator or related field.
  • Two years, hands-on experience doing project coordination in a paid work environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel AND the ability to learn additional software as needed.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work with all levels of personnel.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Working knowledge of Outlook mail/calendar system
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Effective English written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional judgment and integrity in handling confidential material.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly on the telephone.
  • Ability to lift to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.
  • Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation. A qualified person with a disability may request a modification or adjustment to the job or work environment in order to meet the physical requirements of the position. The Salvation Army will attempt to satisfy requests as long as the accommodation needed is reasonable and no undue hardship will result.
PAY RATE Hourly Pay Rate offered for this position: $24-27 DOE
