Position Description	Performs routine maintenance and cleaning duties to ensure the safety, appearance, and functionality of buildings, grounds, and equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned

Operational Excellence

Completes daily checklists as directed.
Performs simple maintenance duties to the buildings, grounds, and equipment according to required specifications for safety and appearance.
Performs routine cleaning of building, floors, windows, restrooms, carpets, trash removal, grounds, sidewalks, trash pick-up, and snow removal.
Performs miscellaneous maintenance activities such as painting, set up and tear down for events, erecting and disassembling tents, hauling bleachers, cans etc.
Responsible for the opening and closing of the building on a daily basis.
Provides quality customer service to all patrons, guests, and other District employees.
Utilize the Rockford Park District's HRIS system for all HR and payroll-related requirements and to accurately clock in and out for all shifts.

Safety/Inspection

Performs frequent routine safety checks on buildings, grounds, and equipment; files safety reports as required.
Maintain a working knowledge of all general and departmental - specific safety rules.
Ensures that all work performed is conducted in a safe and timely manner adhering to standards of cleanliness and effective equipment utilization.
Inspect work areas (use checklists) for compliance with safe work practices and rules.
