Position Title: Speech Language Pathologist, PT
Department: Early Intervention
Reports to: Early Intervention Team Lead
FLSA: Exempt Professional
Supervisor responsibilities: N/A
Pay Range: $34.02 $35.43 hourly

General Description:
Provide early intervention services utilizing speech/language and communication expertise, family and community centered practices to ensure families have options in fostering the early development of their child. Must acquire state certification from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Minimum: Three years experience working with young children with disabilities or delays, including infants and toddlers.
Preferred: Five years working with young children in a transdisciplinary team model.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum: MA/MS in Speech-Language Pathology with CDE certification. Also, must have Certificate of Clinical Competence-CCC-SLP/Dora licensure. Knowledge of Part C of IDEA, natural environments and daily routines, evaluation techniques and tools as pertaining to early childhood. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to facilitate group meetings. Knowledge of community resources and supports available to families. Experience working with young children with special needs, including infants and toddlers, and their families.
Preferred: Experience with feeding and oral motor issues, concerns, delays. Working knowledge of Medicaid Waiver programs and requirements; experience working with persons with disabilities. Knowledge of and experience working with community resources and resource development.
Material and Equipment Directly Used: Computers/tablets, Printers, Copy Machines, Personal Vehicle, Cell phones/telephone, Cloud based systems and software, etc.
Working Environment/Physical Activities: Mobile position, working with a multidisciplinary team in the natural environment of the child. Must have reliable transportation throughout the day and be comfortable in a variety of settings. Able to lift 40 pounds on occasion. Frequent sitting and standing. A working vehicle, valid CO drivers license (unless active Military family), and minimum insurance levels ($100,000/$300,000/$100,000 liability coverage) are required.
