The Resource Exchange
Position Title: Developmental Interventionist IV, PT
Department: Early Intervention
Reports to: Director of Early Intervention
FLSA: Exempt
Supervisor responsibilities: N/A
Salary Range: $28.75 - $29.95 hourly

General Description:
The Developmental Interventionist utilizes best practices in evaluation and assessment, IFSP development and offering supports for children with Autism and other behavioral challenges and services in natural environments through consultation or direct service provision to ensure families have options in fostering the early development of their child.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Minimum: Good teaming skills to consult on the multi-disciplinary evaluation team and family members present during the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). Familiarity with Colorado Springs community. Ability to speak and write clearly and effectively. Convey information to others in understandable and precise terms. Participate effectively in decision-making processes. Understanding of early social emotional development and parent child interactions that influence child development overall and success.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum: MA/MS in counseling, social work, human services/early childhood special education from an accredited college or university, and two (2 Years) experience working with children with disabilities, birth to three years, and their families.
Preferred: Working knowledge of Medicaid Waiver programs and requirements; experience working with persons with disabilities. Knowledge of and experience working with community resources and resource development. ECSC, LPC, LSW, or Psychologist license. Expertise in the autism areas of development as it relates to children with disabilities birth to three years: cognitive, motor, speech/language, social-emotional, medical; to ensure the contribution of the trans-disciplinary team.
Material and Equipment Directly Used: Computers/tablets, Printers, Copy Machines, Personal Vehicle, Cell phones/telephone, Cloud based systems and software, etc.
Working Environment/Physical Activities: Office, community, private residences, commercial properties, and virtual environment settings. Moderate physical activity required, such as walking, sitting, standing, and lifting up to 20 pounds. working vehicle, valid CO drivers license (unless active Military family), and minimum insurance levels ($100,000/$300,000/$100,000 liability coverage) are required.
