- Assisting in preparing meals for children and staff.
- Delivering meals on a cart to classrooms in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Providing assistance to school staff in activities related to the educational curriculum (i.e. making playdough or pasta for the classrooms, boiling eggs, etc).
- Assisting in receiving food orders, systematically organizing and categorizing food items by type for efficient storage.
- Helping maintain a safe and clean kitchen and ensuring Health Department standards are always met.
- Interacting with children before mealtimes and teaching them about the foods served
- Taking charge of the kitchen when the kitchen manager is unavailable and assisting the substitute team member by providing guidance and support during their temporary assignment.
- Assisting in other areas of the Center when daily kitchen duties are complete and/or as needed.
- Participating in the food ordering process as needed.
- Attending staff meetings, training events, and workshops when required.
- Maintaining the required level of training hours with required documentation.
