**Job Summary:**
As a kitchen assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the culinary operations of our restaurant. Your responsibilities will include assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. **Responsibilities:**
1. Assist kitchen staff with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning ingredients.
2. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of garbage.
3. Organize and stock kitchen inventory, including perishable and non-perishable ingredients and supplies.
4. Follow recipes and portion sizes accurately to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation.
5. Communicate effectively with kitchen team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow.
6. Assist with basic cooking and assembly of menu items as needed.
7. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety.
8. Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow within the company by participating in training and skill development opportunities.
**Qualifications:**
- Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced kitchen staff.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
