The Nord Center is Hiring a Crisis Manager Near Lorain, OH

The Nord Center is seeking candidates for the position of Crisis Manager to provide leadership and clinical oversight to the team. The Crisis Manager has the opportunity to utlize strong clinical skills in suicide prevention and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees a team of crisis counselors and staff working during the night shift.
  • Provides guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure effective crisis response.
  • Answers incoming calls, chats, and texts from individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.
  • Conducts brief clinical screenings and risk assessments.
  • Links callers to appropriate services based on their needs.
  • Monitors crisis calls and interactions to ensure adherence to protocols and best practices.
  • Evaluates staff performance and provides feedback for improvement.
  • Collaborates with other crisis centers, mental health organizations, and emergency services.
  • Participates in training sessions and stays updated on crisis intervention techniques.
  • Maintainsaccurate records of interactions with callers.
  • Compiles data for reporting purposes.

Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree in social work, counseling, or a related field is required.
  • Must be licensed in the State of Ohio as a LISW, LPCC, or IMFT.
  • Must be able to connect with individuals in crisis and provide emotional support.
  • Willingness to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Effective verbal and written communication to interact with callers and team members.
  • Must have a valid Ohio Drivers License, good driving record, and state required auto insurance.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $31.25 - $38.09 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 48 per week
