Applewood Centers is Hiring a Mobile Response Crisis Clinician Near Lorain, OH

$4000 Sign On Bonus Offered!

From our roots as a school, an orphanage and a guidance clinic, through our evolution to the large behavioral health and social service organization we are today, our services for children and families have spanned over 175 years. In the early days, we schooled and cared for approximately 25 children. Today we serve nearly 6,000 children and their families each year. Our Mission is to foster solutions for children, youth and families. Applewood Centers’ vision is to be a leader in improving the lives of children in Ohio by providing high quality behavioral healthcare and out-of-home services for children and their families.

Applewood Centers is a premier provider of community-based behavioral health services in Northeast Ohio. Applewood is seeking dynamic and dedicated individuals who want to grow their behavioral health careers and become part of an amazing team of professionals serving others. We are currently hiring a Clinical Therapist to serve youth (age 2-20) and families who call the crisis hotline with a family identified emergency.

As a licensed clinician on our Mobile Response Stabilization team, you will respond face to face (in person or via video conferencing) to high risk crisis situations within an hour to assess the youth and stabilize the family or schedule within the 24 hours to meet the family’s needs. You will assist clients and their family support system in de-escalating a specific issue/episode. At the initial meeting of the youth/family, an assessment will be completed, a plan of care will be developed and coordination of services will be established. After the initial 72 hours, the family can be assigned to a provider to receive high fidelity wrap around and care coordination from the mobile response and stabilization services team. There are no productivity expectations with this role as referrals are made from the community. Varied shifts are available to meet the 24/7 programming needs but also to best fit into your current requirements for employment.

We are looking for both full-time and PRN Clinicians!

  • A minimum Bachelor’s Degree (LSW), Preferred Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling with an LSW/LISW, LPC/LPCC
