The Communications Office within Student Success is seeking a highly organized and driven student to assist with developing and directing communications internally and externally that positively engage a wide range of audiences. The Student Communications Assistant will play a critical role in enhancing the Student Success message by writing and copy-editing various digital and print communications, providing timely responses to important student and parent inquires, auditing and updating web pages, developing engaging newsletters for parents and families and providing administrative support. The Student Communications Assistant will have the opportunity to collaborate and develop important communication strategies, expand their portfolio, and work in a professional environment that seeks to improve the educational experience of all New School students.

Applicants should anticipate working around 10 hours per week during the academic year from approximately August 22th, 2022 to May 19th, 2022. Payment is $15/hour through their Federal Work Study award. This position has the capacity to transition from in-person to hybrid based on candidate demonstration of productivity in a hybrid setting. This position is predominantly on campus with some meetings over virtual video calls.
