Customer Service

SUMMARY: Responsible for effectively serving all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs as well as superior communication, resolving product and service problems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains customer records by updating account information.
• Regular correspondence with customers regarding orders, product availability, pricing adjustments, and transportation fees.
• Attract potential customers by answering product and service questions.
• Monitor production order schedules and expedites delivery per customer requests.
• Generate correspondence to secure additional customer information to resolve customer disputes.
• Serves as liaison between sales, manufacturing, engineering, and shipping personnel.
• Process requests and invoice adjustments
• Provides timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns.
• Assist with monthly inventory.
• Duties may be expanded upon, and additional duties may be assigned.

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

• Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience in the containerboard and corrugated packaging industry preferred.
• 2 Years experience in customer service, handling orders in an automated order entry system, and maintaining / building strong business relationships.
• Prior computer data entry experience preferred, including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Application knowledge of products and production processes.
• Knowledge of Quality standards- both ISO and QS.
• High School Diploma/ Equivalent
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong Attention to detail
• Strong active listening and evaluating skills.
• Analytical skills, to handle detail-oriented tasks and review multiple documents and reports.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle numerous details, deadlines, and requests.
• Able to work flexible hours or overtime as needed.
• Ability to work on a team, effectively communicating with co-workers.
