The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan is Hiring a Program Coordinator Near Detroit, MI

Position Description:
The Program Coordinator I/II is responsible for working within a diverse community setting and is responsible for program promotion, implementation, and ongoing coordination for community based and virtual evidenced based physical activity programming for older adults. The purpose of the Program Coordinator II position is to work within income and basic needs limited communities that are at risk for developing chronic kidney disease and providing health prevention and management approaches to increase opportunities for improved health outcomes for older adults. Job functions and duties include: consumer and partner recruitment, effectively building and maintaining community partner relationships, facilitating workshops and trainings, ongoing coordination of programming and actively participating in community committees. Under general supervision of the Associate Program Manager, the coordinator will work with other programs and will receive other assignments as directed.
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
? Support the implementation and coordination of evidence based programs for older adults, EnhanceFitness and Walk with Ease.
? Develop and maintain positive working relationships with program personnel and community partners.
? Supervise and train Special Project Associates to deliver the evidence-based programming within the community.
? Organize and/or attend community engagement activities.
? Collaborate with team members and community partners for positive program implementation.
? Integrate physical activity educational efforts, focusing on increasing awareness regarding the prevention of kidney disease and promoting programs that are available that improve the quality of life for people with and/or at risk of chronic kidney disease in high need communities.
? Collect data, provide data entry and feedback for program outcome and measurement as directed by evaluation team or supervisor.
? Follow program curriculum expectations with a high level of detail and accuracy.
? Work with community members and partners to identify communities? needs as it relates to health and wellness.
? Work collaboratively with team members for program success, this includes ensuring requirements and program outcomes of grants/contracts are met.
? Honor commitments by completing tasks on time.
? Effectively handles multiple and diverse tasks as well as problem solving, communicates effectively and committed to working with team members for program success.
Pay Range:
$45,000 ? 48,000 (Coordinator I) or $45,880 ? 50,880 (Coordinator II)

Position Qualifications:
? Ability to work directly with people from diverse backgrounds and communicating across cultures.
? Knowledge of physical activity and health approaches for older adults preferred.
? Basic knowledge of MS Office & MS Outlook computer software.
? Demonstrated skills and abilities within the field of human services, public health or Bachelor?s Degree within the human service or public health field.
Working Conditions
? Hybrid work environment: this position has both in-person and remote/work from home. Work at the NKFM office and community sites is expected.
? Willingness to work a 40-hour workweek with occasional, planned evenings, and/or weekend days.
? Physical requirements: light physical effort equal to lifting or moving of lightweight materials. Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.
? Must have access to reliable transportation, a valid driver?s license, and up-to-date auto insurance.
