The Move Crew LLC is Hiring a Sales Manager Near Minneapolis, MN

We are The Move Crew – a locally owned moving company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After our launch in 2015 as a one-truck and two-mover operation, we’ve grown steadily into an award-winning, top-rated moving company in the Twin Cities. Something we’ve accomplished by building on our reputation of being friendly faces in a world of grumpy movers and consistently delivering a five-star customer experience.

To carry on in our tradition of growth, we are creating a new sales-focused position within our leadership team. This position will be responsible for managing and working as part of our sales team, administering and adapting existing sales strategies, developing new strategies to help maximize converting leads to bookings, and working to ensure every job results in a new fan of The Move Crew.

This position is primarily office-based, with some travel in the Twin Cities metro throughout the week for on-site estimates and sales meetings (company vehicle available).

What we are looking for:

  • Ability to lead, direct, coach, and work as part of a team in a small business environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and adaptability.
  • Excellent customer service skills - the ability to guide, educate, and understand the customer, build trust, address any initial questions or concerns, and lead customers to feel confident in booking.
  • Confidence to initiate customer contact and comfort in asking for the sale.
  • Confidence in their problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Proven experience or ability to demonstrate success in sales.
  • Ability to analyze data to identify areas of improvement for sales strategies and team members.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to commute to NE Minneapolis.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Moving industry experience is a plus but not required, will train the right candidate.

What you will do:

Sales and Client Relationships:

  • Provide exceptional customer service on all calls, email communication, and client meetings.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with our customers and potential referral sources.
  • Hear out and understand customer concerns and complaints, and find a positive resolution.
  • Work towards making sure every customer experience is a five-star experience.

Sales Leadership:

  • Manage recruiting, objective setting, coaching, and performance monitoring of sales representatives.
  • Improve existing strategies and develop new strategies to maximize our lead conversion and sales performance.

Strategy Development:

  • Stay informed about the Twin Cities market – understand our competitors, know our customers, and identify new opportunities.
  • Dive into sales data to track performance and improve processes

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure easy transitions between the estimation and execution of services.
  • Work closely with leadership, operations management, and staff– share ideas, listen to suggestions, and contribute to a positive team environment.

What we will offer:

  • Pay rate $52,000 - $62,400 annually ($25/hr - $30/hr)
