We are looking for guest-service oriented full-dining servers to deliver the "Perfect Night Out" to our guests. You’ll be the face of our restaurant and spend the majority of your time tableside creating an exceptional guest experience. The Melting Pot server postion requires intensive training to deliver our mission of "The Perfect Night Out". After you have completed your training, average compensation is $15 to $25 an hour that is a combination of your base minimum server wage of $6.60 plus tips. Exceptional servers earn $30 plus an hour.

Food server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus and serving food and beverages. And, most of all, ensuring a 5 star dining experience for our guests. You need to be quick on your feet, be team-oriented and have a professional and friendly attitude. Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us attract and bring back our guests for years to come.

The Melting Pot is primarily a dinner service restaurant, opening at 4 pm on weekdays and 2pm on weekends, last seating at 9pm with efficient servers out by 11pm or earlier. This is a great job for folks who want to have their days free. All holidays and weekends required, as that is when we are at our busiest.

Responsibilities

• Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
• Attend to customers upon entrance to restaurant
• Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages
• Take and serve orders
• Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products
• Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
• Deal with guest challenges / concerns with a positive attitude
• Solicit great reviews from our guests
• Issue bills and process payment

Skills

• Proven restaurant serving experience of 1 consecutive year with same employer
• Wine and Liquor knowledge a plus
• Able to handle parties if sizes up to 10 independently
• Function well on a team
• Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
• Responsible and trustworthy
• High school diploma is a plus but not required
