The Marshall Defense Firm in downtown Seattle has an immediate opening for a FT administrative/legal assistant. This fast-paced law office focuses on defending persons accused of sex crimes, child abuse, and domestic violence. We do this in criminal cases, civil lawsuits, CPS investigations, administrative hearings—every kind of case in which these especially sensitive assaults can be alleged except family law.
The firm needs someone to maintain calendars for attorneys; answer phones and screen prospective clients; open new client files and enter data into systems; scanning/filing; support our attorneys and paralegal as needed; and make financial and time-keeping entries.
Required skills: proficiency with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook; excellent communications skills; ability to keep track of and meet multiple deadlines; ability to work without close supervision, to establish priorities, and to stay on task with a project (avoiding distractions) when appropriate. Law office experience preferred but not required.
Must be a self-starter, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, flexible, compassionate, and able to work well with others as a team player.
Salary: DOE
