Job Title: Banquet Manager
Job Overview: As a Banquet Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of banquet and event operations. This includes planning, organizing, and executing events to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and the successful achievement of organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Planning and Coordination:
- Work closely with clients to understand their event requirements and preferences.
- Plan and coordinate all details of the event, including seating arrangements, menu selection, decorations, and audio-visual needs.
- Ensure that all logistical aspects of the event, such as staffing, equipment, and facilities, are in place.
- Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and support staff.
- Create staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage for each event.
- Provide leadership and direction to the banquet team, fostering a positive and efficient working environment.
- Customer Service:
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing client needs and concerns.
- Interact with clients during events to ensure their expectations are met or exceeded.
- Handle any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Budget Management:
- Manage event budgets, including cost estimation and revenue forecasting.
- Monitor expenses and strive to meet or exceed budgeted financial targets.
- Quality Control:
- Oversee the quality of service and presentation during events.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all aspects of the banquet space meet established standards.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Communication:
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and vendors to ensure a smooth flow of information and coordination.
- Provide regular updates to management on event status, financial performance, and customer feedback.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or a related field (preferred).
- Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus
- Proven experience in banquet or event management.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
