The Light House is seeking a full time Maintenance Technician to join our team! The goal of this position to help maintain and repair physical structures of our buildings and grounds, in order to provide a safe and clean environment for our students and staff.

Performance Responsibilities:

· Cuts grass and trims weeds on organization’s property

· Paints interior and exterior walls and trim

· Operates snow removal equipment to maintain parking lots and side walks

· Conducts monthly facilities inspections

· Maintains and repairs buildings’ basic plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing light bulbs, faucets, toilets, sinks, air filters etc.

· Assists others with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies

· Assists Custodian with regular cleanings as needed

Requirements:

• High School Diploma is preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Previous maintenance technician experience is preferred
• Attention to detail when cleaning and ability to work independently
• Must be able to physically perform job duties:

• Ability to safely bend, reach and properly lift trash/cartons and other objects
• Ability to operate vacuum and other power driven equipment (shampooers, buffers, lawn mowers)
• Must be able to safely bend, reach and properly lift objects up to 50 pounds
