Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Child Care to join our passionate team. As the Assistant Director of Child Care, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and development of the children in our care. Your responsibilities will include selecting age-appropriate programs, activities, and curricula, supporting staff members, managing administrative tasks, and fostering a positive environment within the center. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a comprehensive understanding of child development and education, and a proven track record of effectively managing teams.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the implementation of the curriculum across all classrooms to ensure consistency and quality of education.
• Provide guidance and support to teachers in lesson planning and classroom management.
• Ensure strict adherence to Texas Childcare Licensing regulations and standards at all times.
• Review and approve lesson plans, printed materials, bulletin announcements, and newsletters to maintain alignment with educational objectives.
• Plan and organize extra-curricular activities, including in-house entertainment and off-site field trips, to enrich the children's learning experiences.
• Step into teaching roles when assigned teachers are absent, ensuring continuity of care and education.
• Curate content for social media platforms and engage with parents on a daily basis to foster a strong sense of community and communication.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on classroom experience.
• Administrative experience in a childcare setting is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a team and support staff members.
• Deep understanding of childcare principles, child development theories, and educational best practices.
