We are hiring an Spanish-English fluent associate attorney. A minimum of two years prior experience handling immigration client cases is required.
The successful applicant will also be working in the areas of civil litigation and workers' compensation - these areas of the law will be taught (no prior experience necessary).
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various issues related to immigration and workers' compensation cases
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Review and analyze legal documents, contracts, and agreements
- Represent clients in court proceedings and hearings
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and arbitrations as necessary
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop case strategies
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their rights and obligations
Skills:
- English-Spanish bi-lingual
- Strong legal drafting skills with the ability to prepare accurate and persuasive written documents
- Proficient in conducting legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Knowledge of legal administrative procedures and practices
- Excellent negotiation skills to effectively advocate for clients' interests
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound advice based on research findings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously
As an immigration/workers' compensation Attorney, you will play a crucial role in representing our clients in various matters.
