The Independent School is Hiring a Head Middle School Boys and Girls Tennis Coach Near Wichita, KS

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Middle School Tennis Coach to lead our tennis

program with passion and expertise. The ideal candidate will be committed to the holistic

development of student-athletes, fostering a love for the sport while instilling important life skills.

As the Tennis Coach, you will oversee all aspects of the tennis program, including player

development, team management, and fostering a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan and organize tennis practices and off-season training sessions.

2. Assess player skills to determine team placement and development goals.

3. Develop and implement effective practice plans focusing on skill development and

strategy.

4. Analyze opponents and develop game strategies to maximize the team's competitive

advantage.

5. Cultivate a positive and inclusive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship and

teamwork.

6. Communicate clearly with players, parents, and school administrators regarding

expectations and schedules.

7. Monitor student-athletes' academic progress to ensure compliance with eligibility

requirements.

8. Maintain accurate records of player rosters, match results, and equipment inventory.

9. Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating integrity and professionalism on and off

the court.

10. Represent the tennis program at school events, community functions, and athletic

conferences.

11. Ensure compliance with all school, district, and league policies and regulations related to

athletics.

12. Attend professional development opportunities to stay current with coaching techniques

and best practices in tennis.

Qualifications:

- Previous coaching experience preferred.

- Strong knowledge of tennis rules, techniques, and strategies.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.

- Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive team environment.

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate

practices and matches.
